About TWI
TWI Ltd is one of the world's foremost research and technology organisations. Based at Great Abington, near Cambridge, UK since 1946, over 450 staff provide technical support in welding, joining and associated technologies such as structural integrity, NDT, surfacing, coating and cutting. Services include contract R&D, technical information, advice, consultancy, training and qualification. TWI uniquely offers a single, impartial source of these services for joining of engineering materials. TWI is a membership-based organisation, having two types of members: industrial members (over 3500 companies world-wide), professional members (over 6000 individual engineers working in the field of joining technology or related areas).
TWI trains welding engineers, inspectors, NDT technicians and welding craftsmen (all techniques at all levels).
