About TUS
Faculty of Maritime Technology is concerned with educational and scientific activity in naval architecture, offshore engineering and transportation. The Faculty is composed of the following chairs: Ship Design, Ship Structure and Mechanics, Machinery and Transportation Systems, Ship Protection, Refrigeration, Ship Engines and Power Plants, Refrigeration and Logistics and Transportation Economics.
Research activity of the Faculty covers: hydrodynamics, mechanics of ship structures, structural reliability, noise and vibration, fabrication technologies, fire protection.
The Faculty has been engaged in a number of the domestic and international research projects: grants of the Polish Research Committee, INBAT (innovative barge trains for inland navigation under the Fifth European Framework), participation in the domestic and international research projects; Eureca (Polish-Swedish consortium for analysis of safety and reliability of ships), NIAG (NATO project for designing of warship).
