About FSG
Flensburger Schiffbau Gesellschaft (FSG) is a fully owned subsidiary of Egon Oldendorff, a privately owned shipping group with more than 180 vessels in service. FSG is a medium sized newbuilding shipyard with a total workforce of about 650. The yard is involved in building Ro/Ro and Ro/Pax-ships, navy support vessels and handy-size multipurpose vessels. The yard focuses on series production of ships. It has achieved a strong development since the early 1990’s in the areas of design, fabrication and organisation and an active ongoing development strategy, involving co-operation within the national and European shipbuilding industry and research institutions. The yard’s Research and Development projects are driven by 2 departments; e.g. Basic Design Research and Development.
Staff: 7 engineers responsible for productivity enhancements, and 13 engineers responsible for product developments and production.
